No matter what materials require to be cut, it is worth considering the Dahle 589 which is a special A2 Guillotine equipped with a dead blade, that reliably cuts not only paper but also many other materials like leather, metal sheets, cardboard, plastics, rubber-sheet and many others. When cutting such materials it is advisable to use a cutting machine with dead blade.
The 589 has a variety of very special features which include a Sturdy Metal Base with non-slip rubber feet for firm standing which is printed with all practical format lines on the table to facilitate exact alignment of all types of cutting stock. A mounting Table is available for the Dahle 589 Guillotine as an option.
A sturdy handle with a generous hand protection grip guard is supplied, guaranteeing completely safe cutting via a screw-mounted, ground upper dead blade and lower blade which is made of high quality Solingen Steel which can be re-sharpenable for a long-lasting cutting reliability.
Materials are held in place whilst being cut with a metal guard plate activated by a D-bar clamp which as easily activated for a perfect and exact 90° cut. An adjustable, screw-fastening metal backstop helps the operator make repeat cuts and a pull-out front stop gauges up to 210 mm for cutting strips of equal widths. PLEASE NOTE: In order to comply with British Standards, the Dahle 589 has a blue steel guard, as shown in the picture above and in the image to the right at the beginning and end of the video (instead of the rotating safety guard shown during the video).
